What would tomorrow look like?
If you ever fear what tomorrow would look like? If the hazy lines of the future feel more dreadful than exciting,
If the if’s and how’s keep you up every night.
If the shadows of the unknown blind the light of the hope of God's promises,
Look behind you at the days gone so far, they were once scheduled "in the future" but you've gotten through, not just surviving but thriving.
Look before you, the trees, flowers, and foliage that color the world in green, retreating and blooming by the seasons.
Look upwards at the firmaments, the rising and setting of the sun, motions of the clouds, the steady ebb and flow of seasons - from the beginning of creation till now.
All of these show the power of the unseen hand, the Force keeping the universe in divine order and expectation, the same One who has fashioned the end from the beginning, the One who has your times in His hands, the One who calls you like He did to mere men two thousand years ago, "Follow me, and I will make you..."
You may not understand how this making is going to be done.
How your steps are going to be ordered or how things are going to click or sync, but in every step, as random as they may seem, in your daily resolution to "follow" is leading you to the future He has already planned, the destination that has awaited your coming even before you breathed your first.
So, drop the worries today.
Drop the overthinking.
Let the fears subside.
As you crash into the one who holds the pen.
The story has already been written.
If you listen long enough, you'd hear it, and as you follow, you'd live it.
It requires you to trust.
It requires you to hope.
It requires you to believe.
The fear of tomorrow robs you of the joy of today.
So switch the batons of fear for hope. For faith.
The race before you needs it.
Tomorrow is going to turn out well.
Tomorrow would bring you joy.
Tomorrow would be all you dreamt and prayed for.
Hope this encouraged you.
